We cut and sew it from the roll in our workshop in Měšice near Prague. 200 °C sublimation keeps the colour through dozens of washes.

Cove — our signature blanket fabric
Cove is our name for the fleece blanket fabric we use for all UTOPY blankets and photo blankets. Double-layer polyester fleece, 380 g/m2 — a higher weight than typical promotional blankets, so it holds both warmth and shape. We cut and sew it ourselves from the roll in our workshop.

Which size to choose
Three sizes cover everything from a child to a double bed:

How to design your blanket
You create the design yourself online — choose a size, the configurator opens and you upload a photo or your own design.

A tip from Tomáš: “Cove 380 g/m2 is a bit heavier than what you'll find in typical promotional blankets (usually 220–280 g). Promotional blankets are built for price, not for long-term use. We cut and sew our Cove ourselves in our workshop from fabric on the roll. If someone is going to use a blanket for three years, the weight is worth it.”
FAQs
What photo resolution do I need for a photo blanket?
Minimum 2000 px on the longer side. Ideally 3000+ px. A photo from a phone newer than 2018 is usually fine. Photos from the internet (Facebook, Instagram) tend to be compressed — the result may be blurry.
What size photo blanket should I choose?
For a child's room or a pushchair, 70×100 cm. For the living room and sofa, 120×150 cm (all-rounder). Over a whole bed, 140×200 cm. For a gift when you don't know how it will be used, 120×150 cm is the safest choice.
Can I upload several photos at once as a collage?
Send the collage ready-made (Canva, Photoshop, an online editor) in sufficient resolution. If you'd like us to do the design, send us the photos before ordering — we'll agree on the final look.
How quickly will my photo blanket be ready?
We make it within 48 h of approving the artwork. For gift deadlines (Christmas, Mother's Day, birthdays), message us in advance — we can accommodate shorter deadlines too.
Cove fleece vs Wave microfibre – what's the difference?
Cove (fleece) is a soft two-layer knit that warms you up and retains heat. Wave (microfibre) is a thin, smooth fabric that wicks away sweat and dries quickly. For a blanket you want Cove (warmth, softness), for a towel Wave (quick drying). Both are 100% polyester and sublimation on them lasts dozens of washes.
Material, care and durability
We print blankets and photo blankets on Cove fleece 380 g/m2 using sublimation at 200 °C — the dye bonds chemically into the polyester fibre, so the design can't rub off, peel or fade. Wash at 30 °C, don't wring aggressively, dry in the shade. Cove fleece keeps its colours vivid for dozens of washes.
