Men's T-Shirt Czech Stone

Diagonal bands in the Czech tricolour overlaid with the texture of cracked stone and concrete. Czech Stone is a men's sports t-shirt with a design that gives the Czech colours a different material feel – hard and tangible, unlike a painting or graphic.

The story behind the print

Czech Stone was created in UTOPY Studio as a contrast to painterly and pastel designs. The diagonal bands in the Czech tricolour are there, but their surface has the texture of cracked stone – silvery, blue, red and black areas with the realistic roughness of concrete. The design feels heavier and rougher than the rest of the Czech collection. For men who prefer a harder look to a delicate watercolour.

Material and making

• Performance knit Drift – polyester microfibre (93 %) with elastane (7 %), with a very fine knit construction.
• Premium Italian quality – retains its shape and strength, breathes and follows your movement.
• Sublimated print at 200 °C – the stone texture has no sharp edges, and sublimation reproduces it accurately.
• We sew it in our workshop in Měšice near Prague.
• An original cracked-stone design in the Czech tricolour.

When to wear it

Czech Stone has a rougher look than Pulse or Motion, making it a good fit when you want to wear the Czech colours with a rugged edge. Strength training with weights, CrossFit, a mountain bike ride, a long trail run or an outdoor circuit session. An outdoor ice hockey match, a football stadium or fan events. Or simply a cloudy day in town – this heavier design doesn't need sunshine to work.

How to style it

The textured design calls for understated pairings. Wear it with men's tracksuit bottoms in grey or anthracite, or men's shorts in black. Add a cap in a subtle colour and a drawstring backpack in a basic shade. For cooler days, add a men's sweatshirt in navy or anthracite.

Care

• Wash inside out at around 30 °C to help the performance fabric retain its properties, shape and stretch.
• Skip fabric softener – it coats the fibres and reduces breathability.
• Air dry; there's no need for a tumble dryer.
• The stone texture stays vibrant even after dozens of washes – the sublimated design retains its colour through repeated washing.
• A tip from Gabi in the workshop: The Drift knit keeps the stone texture vibrant even where the fabric stretches as you move. The cracked-stone detail looks just as sharp on your shoulder as it does at your side.
